Five LinkedIn lead generation tools, sorted by the job they do

Sales Navigator and Apollo find the people. Curviate Automate, HeyReach and Botdog reach them and handle the replies. Which tool owns which job for a sales team of several reps, what the stack costs per month, and how a Sales Navigator list becomes one Motion. I build Curviate.

TL;DR

  • The best LinkedIn lead generation tools split into three jobs: find (Sales Navigator, Apollo), reach and reply. Curviate Automate is the pick for reach and reply.
  • Curviate costs $60 per LinkedIn account a month, so four reps cost $240. Sales Navigator Core adds $119.99 per rep if you want its search.
  • Your Sales Navigator leads come in as a CSV of lead links or an agent-run search; then one Motion works them across every rep's account.

LinkedIn lead generation tools do one of three jobs: they find the right people, they reach them, or they help you handle the replies. No single tool is best at all three, so the useful question is which tool owns which job in your stack. I build Curviate, which does the reach and reply part, so weigh my #1 with that in mind.

One line per tool, by the job it does best:

  1. 1Curviate AutomateReach and reply across every rep's account
  2. 2Sales NavigatorFinding the right people on LinkedIn
  3. 3ApolloEmails and phone numbers next to LinkedIn
  4. 4HeyReachSending rotated across senders
  5. 5BotdogCampaigns straight from Sales Navigator lists

How we picked

The buyer here is a sales team of five reps, each on their own LinkedIn account, that wants booked calls from LinkedIn, not a bigger spreadsheet. Four questions set the order:

  • Which job does it own? Finding, reaching or replying, and how well.
  • Does it fit the next tool? A list you cannot move into your outreach tool is dead weight.
  • Does it work across five accounts? One plan for the team, not five rep-by-rep setups.
  • What does it cost at 1 to 4 reps, on monthly billing?

Finding tools and outreach tools are not rivals, so the ranking reflects how much of the pipeline each one moves on its own. Reach and reply is where the meetings come from, which is why an outreach tool sits at #1.

Sales Navigator wins the search and Apollo wins the contact data. Curviate wins the part after the list exists: getting five reps' accounts to work it without stepping on each other.

What does a LinkedIn lead generation stack cost?

Per rep, the five tools here run from $60 to $119.99 a month. Curviate Automate is the lowest at one, three and four reps.

  • Botdog Agency$299
  • HeyReach Growth$316
  • Sales Navigator Core$479.96

List prices from each vendor's pricing page, November 3 and 4, 2026. Apollo and Sales Navigator bill per seat; Curviate, HeyReach and Botdog per LinkedIn account. Botdog at 4 is its Agency plan, its cheapest option there.

A typical four-rep stack is a finder plus an outreach tool. Sales Navigator Core for search plus Curviate Automate for outreach comes to $719.96 a month. Swap in HeyReach Growth and it is $795.96. The $240 on Curviate already includes the inbox, analytics, contacts and lists, and the API, so nothing else needs adding for the reach and reply half.

1. Curviate Automate: best for reach and reply

Curviate Automate

Sales teams working one list from several reps' accounts

$60 per account a month

Pros

  • One Motion across every rep's account
  • Contacts go to the rep already connected
  • One inbox for every account

Cons

  • Finds no emails or phone numbers
  • No email steps in Motions

Verdict: The reach and reply layer for a team of reps.

Curviate starts where your list ends. Upload a CSV with LinkedIn or Sales Navigator lead links, or let your AI agent run a Sales Navigator search and import the results. Contacts you import twice are merged, so the same VP never lands in your list twice.

Then one Motion works the list across all five reps' accounts: invites, messages, InMail, voice notes, profile visits, likes, follows, endorsements and waits, with branches on accepted, not accepted and replied. It tests message variants and stops when someone replies.

The part a finder cannot do is decide who reaches whom. Curviate can hand each contact to the rep who is already connected to them, the warm path, and skip people already in another Motion or an open chat. One account never invites the same person twice. Replies from every account land in one Unibox, where you answer as the right rep.

2. Sales Navigator: best for finding people

Sales Navigator

Building precise lists of the right people

$119.99 per seat a month (Core)

Pros

  • 50+ advanced search filters
  • Buyer Intent and TeamLink warm intros

Cons

  • Each rep reaches out by hand
  • No listed price for Advanced Plus

Verdict: The best finder; pair it with an outreach tool.

LinkedIn's own search tool is the strongest place to find people on LinkedIn. Its compare plans page lists more than 50 search filters, Account IQ and Lead IQ summaries, Buyer Intent signals, and TeamLink for warm introductions through your team's connections.

Core is $119.99 a month for individual sellers and Advanced $159.99 for sales teams, which adds team seat management. Advanced Plus, for teams on an integrated CRM, has no listed price.

What Sales Navigator leaves to you is the outreach. Your reps send each invite and message themselves, one account at a time. Export the lead links to a CSV and Curviate runs them as one Motion. Accounts with Sales Navigator also get more room for profile visits in Curviate's limits.

3. Apollo: best for emails and phone numbers

Apollo

Teams that also need emails, phones and email sequences

$65 per seat a month (Basic)

Pros

  • 240M+ contacts and 30M+ accounts
  • Unlimited email sequences on Basic

Cons

  • Outreach is email-first
  • Organization plan needs 3 seats

Verdict: Add it for contact data and email; keep LinkedIn outreach elsewhere.

Apollo is a contact database with email outreach built in. Its home page claims more than 240 million contacts, and its Chrome extension finds emails, makes dials and adds people to a list or sequence while you browse.

On monthly billing, Basic is $65, Professional $99 and Organization $149 per seat, with Organization needing at least 3 seats. A free plan includes 2 sequences.

Use Apollo when email and phone sit next to LinkedIn in your outbound. For the LinkedIn half, five reps' accounts still need something that runs invites and messages on each of them, with limits that stop the sending.

4. HeyReach: best for rotating senders

HeyReach

Teams that want sending rotated across senders

$79 per sender a month (Growth)

Pros

  • Inbox, API and MCP on Growth
  • Hands leads to Instantly or Smartlead

Cons

  • Who reaches whom not stated
  • $395 for five senders

Verdict: A solid reach tool; Curviate costs less at five.

Read more about HeyReach

HeyReach is an outreach tool, so it competes with Curviate for the reach and reply job. Growth includes the unified inbox, the API and an MCP server, and sending rotates across your accounts. A sequence step can find an email or pass the lead to Instantly, Smartlead or EmailBison.

At five senders Growth costs $395 a month against Curviate's $300. HeyReach's pages don't say how it decides which sender reaches which person; Curviate can route each contact to the rep who already knows them.

5. Botdog: best for Sales Navigator lists

Botdog

Teams that start every campaign from Sales Navigator

$79 per account; $299 for 5 senders

Pros

  • Nine ways to bring leads in
  • Unified inbox on Solo

Cons

  • One Team campaign at a time
  • Limit zones are guidance, not caps

Verdict: Most lead sources; Curviate's limits stop the sending.

Read more about Botdog

Botdog has the widest intake of the outreach tools here. Its features page lists nine ways to bring people in, from Sales Navigator searches and saved lists to posts, events, CSV and profile URLs.

At four senders, Botdog's cheapest option is the $299 Agency plan, against $240 on Curviate, and the bigger difference is what happens after import. Botdog runs one Team campaign at a time and calls its limit zones guidance; on Curviate, every Motion runs across every account and stops at each account's limits.

For the head-to-head between outreach tools alone, the ranking of the best LinkedIn automation tools covers six of them.

Keeping five accounts safe while they reach out

Finding tools carry little account risk; reaching out does. LinkedIn's help center says members who use third-party software "risk having their accounts restricted or shut down". The vendor-by-vendor detail is in whether LinkedIn automation is safe.

On Curviate, every action has a limit per account, set to that account's LinkedIn plan, and Motions stop at each one. Each account sends in its own working hours, new or quiet accounts warm up first, and Motions pause when LinkedIn pushes back. If one rep's account needs reconnecting, after a day the contacts it had not reached move to the other four (safety).

How to split one list across several reps is covered in the guide to LinkedIn outreach from multiple accounts.
